Why make my own website?

To encourage people to take time out of every day to laugh, think, and cry.
To put something genuinely special into this world that was not there before.
To be able to write at length about my feelings and interests.
To do something on the computer other than mash buttons and doomscroll.
To learn new skills.
To have a sense of ownership of some section of the internet
To stress the importance of living for yourself, not for anyone else.
To express gratitude to those willing to spare kind words.

Less "transition goals" and more "transition guiding principles".

Be unapologetically myself in all places and at all times.
Work to change the things I cannot accept.
Carry positive affirmation with me, and then pay it forward to someone else.
Amplify the voices in my head telling me to be constructive, and destroy the voices in my head telling me to be destructive.

One unrelated personal goal I've set for myself is to pick up hobbies that don't involve going on the computer. The most obvious one that comes to mind is reading books.

A long overdue update to make the "default" CSS style more readable while still fitting my original theme for this site as a concept has been pushed through. If I can log into the guestbook I'll export it there too.

Dream Matches, our series about Remembering Some Guys (and Gals and Non-Binary Pals) is ongoing. I'll also be working to ensure there's enough levity in my life to have just as many posts in the "Silly" table as the "Serious" table.
