| Testosterone: A Love Story |
Go in blind and watch for yourself. |
| The Search for the Saddest Punt in the World |
It is a damn shame that the Surrender Index has not achieved the same widespread recognition that Scorigami has. We should be hammering coaches with Surrender Index scores to have them face to face with exactly how bad their fourth down decisions are. |
| The People You're Paying to Be in Shorts |
Often cited as a teardown of the Michael Jordan hagiography as seen most prominently in The Last Dance, the companion piece to this that exists in my mind is Jordan's ongoing segment on NBC's NBA broadcasts. While still obviously very defensive about his place in basketball history, it seems that since selling his majority stake in the Hornets, Jordan seems to have developed a greater appreciation for the sport beyond using it as an avenue to dominate his opposition. |
| Section 1 |
A look into a set of circumstances with big parallels to modern society writ large: chiefly that those in power love to pass the buck on stopping bad things from happening to the general populace. |
| The Quest to Beat Matt Turk |
SummoningSalt's most "old school" story, a recollection of what it took as a community to take down a bar that was set very high very long ago. A Turk anecdote that is outside the scope of this video: he got the chance to meet Tyson irl and inspire him to grind the game that despite being the namesake of, was notoriously bad at. |
| The History of Tetris World Records |
I love that when players defy the logic of Tetris, the game defies its logic too. |
| Fighting Further - Defiant vs BigBlack |
Every UNI major culminates into some of the greatest things you'll ever see, even if its chalk. |
| Silksong and the Biblical Apocalypse |
My review dedicates just one sentence to Silksong's ludonarrative resonance, as that isn't a terribly high priority for me. Jacob Geller takes the time to stake the claim that said ludonarrative resonance is what ties the game together and makes it a masterpiece in the first place. |
